Interlink's Ohana Arrives Tomorrow
The $3.2 million roll on roll off inter island vessel is expected to replace Westerland.

Interlink Shipping Line Limited’s new inclusion Ohana is expected into Lautoka this weekend after a week’s delay.
Manager e yesterday said Ohana after going up on the slipway at Honiara in the Solomon Islands for rpair has left for Fiji.
“It has left the Solomon Islands and is due in this weekend at Lautoka before it sails to Suva for the traditional welcome,” Mr Nawa said.

Ohana had departed Japan for Fiji on Tuesday, June 25 and was due to arrive at the Mua-i-walu jetty in Suva on July 8.

Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji acting chief executive Phillip Hill in a press release last week said Ohana while on its way to Suva took in water and had to diverted to Honiara for repair.
The vessel has the capability to travel at the maximum /average speed of 13.0 to 12.2 knots and in replacing Westerland is capable of slicing travel time between Natovi and Nabouwalu to less than three hours.
Ohana has the capacity to carry 400 passengers and between 18 to 20 vehicles depending on type and load.
Meanwhile ISLL has two vessels in its fleet: MV Westerland and Queen of Melbourne who have the capacity to carry 395 and 350 passengers respectively.
Both vessels service the Natovi and Nabouwalu route but as from last week Queen of Melbourne has been servicing the Suva to Vunisea route and return following Goundar Shipping’s suspension by the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji.
