Investors Sought For Ginger Beer Production

Fiji should produce ginger beer in ef­forts to utilise the growing number of local harvest around the country, a Cabinet minister has said.

Trade minister, Manoa Kamikamica has called on investors and companies to invest in producing ginger beer, in light of height­ened international market demand.

The move would incentivise a good num­ber of ginger farmers who are unable to secure a steady market.

The global ginger beer market is valued at a staggering $9 billion in 2021, and is pro­jected to reach over $19 billion by 2030, re­search suggests.
