Island Style Peanut Butter is now certified under the Fijian Made brand.
Owner and operator, Gary Pickering, receiving the certification from the Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport Faiyaz Koya at the factory in Wailoaloa in Nadi yesterday.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support shown to our small business from some of the larger resorts such as Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort and InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa,” he said.

“We are also privileged to be working with smaller resorts including world class surfing destination, Nomotu Island.”
Mr Pickering and his wife, Heather, came to Fiji in March, 2021, after losing their jobs because of the pandemic.
“That’s when we decided, well you know, we could either stay in New Zealand and just get another job and carry on that way or we could come back here and have a bit of an adventure.
“Or I can connect with my Fijian culture here and also our sons can learn about Fiji and experience Fiji.”
And that’s what they did.
They started production in November, after a rigorous process of setting up.
The company employs three staff and began with investment of around $100,000 with machinery and materials.
