Ivan Fong Heads Fiji’s Telecom Giant, ATH

Ivan Fong will head Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited as chief executive officer from July 24, 2023.

Currently with Kacific Broadband Satellites, Mr Fong has vast experience in the telecommunications sector.

Mr Fong, who has over 28 years of experience, worked for ATH for 18 years, which included leadership positions at Telecom Fiji Limited, ATH Group, and Kacific.

He served as an executive of Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association from 2002 and was subsequently elected president from 2010 to 2016.

During his previous tenure at ATH Group, Mr Fong was chairman for Vodafone Samoa, BlueSky American Samoa, and Vodafone Vanuatu, and served as a director at Vodafone PNG, Vodafone Cook Islands, and Vodafone Kiribati.

Mr Fong holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University.

Chief Finance Officer.

ATH has appointed Abilash Ram as the chief finance officer effective from September.

Mr. Ram has more than 14 years of work experience, in audit and assurance at external audit firms.

He worked in the finance divisions of various subsidiary companies within FHL, gaining extensive experience across multiple industries within the group.

Mr Ram also served as a board director of Pacific Green Limited and Fiji Television Limited.

He held leadership positions at FHL, including CFO and acting CEO of FHL Group from between 2019 and 2021.

Mr Ram is a qualified chartered Accountant with the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants and a full member of CPA Australia.
