Kadavu For Unit Trust CEO

Vilash Chand is the chief ex­ecutive officer at the Unit Trust of Fiji.

He started as a finance officer, and then rose in the ranks at UTOF to finally become the CEO.

He is a director of the board for Home Finance Company and direc­tor of the board for Fiji Ports Cor­poration Limited.

Mr Chand was also appointed to the FINTEL board in March of 2012.

He was recently appointed as a board member and director for the Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited during its 24th AGM of shareholders.

He was appointed by the Fijian Government and the appointment was accepted by the shareholders.

How many places have you visited around Fiji?

Around Viti Levu and Vanua Levu but not to the outer islands.

What is the one place in Fiji you would take visitors to?

The Yasawas, I have only seen beautiful pictures of the place, nev­er been there myself either.

What is your favourite place for cof­fee/pie?

Café Planet in Sigatoka, the place offers a relaxing place to enjoy your wcoffe and is on the go. I love their taste of coffee. I’m a coffee lover.

What is your favourite backyard sport?

I love fishing and playing soccer.

What is one place in Fiji that re­mains on your bucket list?

Kadavu and other outer islands.
