As part of its expansion plans, KPMG Fiji aims to employ 500 people by 2025.

At the moment the firm has up to 160 employees both in Suva and in its Nadi office.

Highlighting the expansion plans yesterday, National Managing Partner, KPMG enterprise, Paul Howes said the firm was now on a pathway for growth with plans to upgrade and expand its Suva office.

“We have committed to the opening of a new office in Nadi by June 2023, to ensure that we have enough space available,” Mr Howes said.

“We have to expand our footprint both here in Suva and Nadi, taking advantage of the outsourcing opportunities that we are now focusing on.”

There are about 40 staff in its Nadi office who are focusing on outsource work into Australia.

“Our intention is to continue to grow quite dramatically in the next three years, because we see an enormous opportunity to provide greater services across the Pacific and into Australia as well.

Mr Howes said the expansion would not only focus on audit, tax, and accounting, but also around broad consulting, digital transformation, technology, implementation consulting.

“There is a good focus in Fiji at the moment on the outsourcing opportunity and KPMG wants to be at the forefront of spearheading that opportunity.

“We are going to see dramatic growth of our practice in Fiji and will be the biggest growth we’veever had because we see just such a wonderful opportunity to tap into the amazing talent that exists across the South Pacific,” he said.

She is the firm’s second iTaukei and fifth female partner out of the 10 partners at the firm.

“I think it is very important for us, as women, to be able to get into these positions and encourage gender and ethnic diversity,” Ms Tuinamuana said.

“Meliki is a well-established and well credentialed business leader in Fiji, her joining our team is a great step forward for the services that we will be able to provide to our clients across the South Pacific,” Mr Howes said.

“This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to inclusion and diversity within the KPMG Fiji.”
