Kushnumma Begum is the general manager for two hygiene companies operating under one roof.
Hygiene and Sanitisation Services (Fiji)PTE Limited and Flick Hygiene PTE Limited employ more than 400 workers,80 per cent are females.
Ms Begum began her career as a cashier at the then Food 4 Less Supermarket now Shop N Save after completing her studies at the Fiji National University.

She then joined Hygiene and Sanitisation Services (Fiji) Pte Limited in 2006 as a branch administrator.
Over the years she filled in many roles within the company including stock controller, purchasing officer, hygiene manager and key accounts manager.
In 2019, she was promoted and became the first female chairperson of the company. Again in January, she was elected general manager for the two companies.
She was a modest and diffident branch admin but over the years she gained confidence and was able to lead her team.
Their clients include the Ministry of Health, Fiji Airways and the University of the South Pacific.
