Michael Anderson Gounder, also known as DJ MICKS Fiji, wants to take his job as a disk jockey (DJ) to another level.
The 33-year-old began his journey into music when he was in the Sangam SKM College Nadi brash band.
He worked in various jobs, including part time for a nightclub manager for three and half years.

He has since created his own company and become the owner of the nightclub, Club Desi Jungle (CDJ), located where Purple Haze was in Martintar, Nadi.
However, he faced challenges when the nightclub industry faced the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Business didn’t go well, so I made a big loss, but still didn’t give up. I was doing private DJing for nightclubs paying banks debts. Then my house burnt down and all my equipment was burnt,” he said.
Despite this, he would not give up on his passion.
“DJing is my passion, work, carrier, talent, and my bread and butter,” he said.
