Tourism Fiji told SunBiz that the Matai Agent famils were integral components of its ongoing trade education programme in New Zealand and around the world.
“Matai agents are experts on Fiji, and this means that travel agents around the world have become experts at promoting our destination,” Tourism Fiji said.
“These trips offer New Zealand travel agents first-hand experiences of Fiji, including visits to popular resorts, exposure to Fiji Airways, and exploration of new offerings like Sigavou Studios’ art classes.”
Tourism Fiji said the objective was to deepen the agents’ understanding of Fiji and help them to better promote the island destination.
