Vomo Island Resort has received an influx of queries from guests over its next Pool Party.

The raves follow the success of the inaugural Vomo Pool Party earlier this month, which drew in scores of guests from around Fiji.

The event was hosted with local rates, in support of Tourism Fiji’s Love Our Locals initiative.

The hotel said more than 100 guests arrived, some in their private chartered vessels.

“It was a huge hit, with some wonderful feedback from guests,” general manager Justin King said.

The Middle Eastern-influenced lunch was an instant favourite for day guests, he said.

One guest said: “Loved the small touches such as the impressive welcome from the Vou dance group waving colourful flags and providing a flower halo and chilled face towel.”

Another guest said the complimentary drinks on the cruise from Denarau to Vomo Island, made the difference.

“It was a great value day trip included an arrival drink of Bombay gin and tonic and Billecart french champagne on the boat ride over to Vomo Island,” one guest wrote.

The next pool party will be hosted in January.

225-acre Vomo Island Resort in the Mamanuca island group is privately owned, and a 75-minute boat ride from Port Denarau Marina.
