Lau-based Vatuvara Private Islands was inducted in the FETA Hall of Fame, joining tourism icons such as Likuliku Island Resort, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, and Rosie Holidays in the prestigious recognition.
The Hall of Fame was created in 2017 to honour hotels and resorts and tourism operators who won a category for three consecutive years which is a criteria for tourism industry organisations to be inducted.
General manager Robert Miller said, “We really appreciate where tourism is setting.”

He shared his side of the story that his parents owned a company called Naviti Investments in the early days and invested in the Outrigger Motels, Naviti, and Raffles.
“That’s where I learned my trade,” Mr Miller said.
We’ve got a bit of a family history and tourism, and I really appreciate what you’ve done here today.
“This is really a lifetime honour for me, working for 50 years nearly in the hotel business. So much appreciated.”

“The FETA action team is working towards the preparation of online registration for 2023.”
