Check in 5am today, and check out 10pm tomorrow -  for just $210 VIP a night.

That’s the offer at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa, for two adults and two children below the age of 12.

The rates apply on Beach, Beats and Eats weekends, a monthly occurrence at the resort. At the Yanuca Island resort on Yanuca Island across a causeway from Curu, children below the age of 12 years get to eat, play, stay for free.

All non-motorised watersports are complimentary - making the use of paddleboards, kayaks and Fiji’s largest floating waterpark all the more exciting.

Other add ons are activities such as beach volleyball, VOU dance lessons for children, VOU’s open air entertainment for everyone, and hotel services such as the use of Wifi.

Guests can take advantage of all this and more when the Oktoberfest gets underway next month.

Hygiene in COVID-19

  • The high-level hygienic standards in the face of COVID-19, starts from the main gate on the sprawling 100-plus acre island resort, where body temperatures are taken for every individual that enters the five-star getaway.
  • At check in, guests must dust their shoes on designated floor mats, which are sterilised every so often, in a bid to wipe off as much bacteria as possible.

“It’s a double check measure because of COVID-19,” said sales co-ordinator Saimoni Komaiwaca.

Every staff member goes through the same safety standards, he said.

“Housekeeping attendants adhere to strict COVID-safe guidelines when servicing all rooms, Mr Komaiwaca said.

“In fact, maids won’t enter your room six hours after you’ve checked out.

“Across the resort, we have implemented measures to ensure we adhere to physical distancing at all times, whether it’s in the guest room, public areas or our restaurant,” he said.

Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa is an island paradise located on its very own private island - Yanuca Island.

  • Guests can enjoy the private island experience. The island is easily connected to the mainland by a causeway allowing guests easy access to and from the resort without having to catch boat transfers.
  • With a private lagoon and white sandy beach, it’s the perfect getaway for families, friends and couples.
