A seasoned insurance professional, who is now employed in international development, is behind moves to implement a first of its kind Climate Risk Insurance programme.
Krishnan Narasimhan leads a team of technical specialists in implementing the insurance programme within the United Nations Capital Development Fund.
The former General Manager for LICI in Fiji has a rich blend of private sector and development experience.

Mr Narasimhan is the programme manager for the United Nations Capital Development Fund – an inclusive finance arm of Pacific insurance and climate adaptation.
Mr Narasimhan is responsible for overseeing programme implementation across the Pacific Small Island developing states.
The move from the corporate private sector to international development aimed was to bring years of hard core managerial experience to the area of international development, he said.
