Novotel Nadi and Novotel Lami Bay have received good support from locals over the weekends since reopening under Tourism Fiji’s ‘Love our Locals’ campaign.

Novotel Nadi general manager Jack Work said the resort has received an influx of guests since accommodation rates dropped from $155 to $99.

The meal rates remain unchanged, he said, adding Accor Plus and royalty members have a discount of 10 per cent.

Busy

Novotel Nadi has 127 rooms.

Since it opened 24 rooms, the resort has received around 70 per cent bookings.

“Novotel Lami Bay has been quite busy recently, particularly with the the swimming pool and gym now opened,” Mr Work said.

“We have also been seeing a lot of corporate customers visit both hotels.”

Mr Work said Novotel Lami Bay and Nadi’s room prices were especially low and that gave locals a chance to experience top class accommodation.

“We were very bold in lowering the rate to $99, and I think that is what sets us apart from other major tourism properties,” he said.

“I don’t think major hotels like us would go below $99 for room rates.”
