My business is my biggest testimony, says Shahina Sainaz Nisha.

She owns The Shiner-Nail Lounge, located in Nadi.

She uses her success story to help others.

“I never planned to have my own business. I was happy being an employee,” she said.

“In October 2021, during the second phase of COVID-19, I received a prophecy about my business from my pastor.

“I only had $300 in my bank account at the time. We were paying $550 for rent every month.

“We weren’t financially stable.

“I had no idea we would ever build up this business.”

Ms Nisha dropped out of university to work in Nadi, refining her skills as a nail technician until she could open her own salon.

She registered her business in May, 2022.

What do you enjoy about your line of work?

I get to make my clients feel good about themselves.

I love that my job gives me a chance to minister to so many people – the broken and the misunderstood.

While I do their nails, I am able to remind them that they are beautiful and special, and that its time for them to shine.

What are your go-to places for a delicious meal?

Galito’s in Nadi and McDonald’s.
