Coffee, a yarn and a laugh is what Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player, Zuriel Togiatama, calls a break from intense training.

Sometimes after an intense training, he would make it his mission to visit coffee shops.

Time away from the rugby paddock is something Mr Togiatama looks forward to, especially at a cafe.

"Having a couple of yarns and playing cards are my favourites," said Mr Togiatama.

Mr Togiatama is half Fijian and Niuean, and has been a squad member at the sports club since last year.

His mother is from Bua.

He plays the hooker position in the field. Born and raised in New Zealand, the 24-year-old attended Wesley College and studied at the Auckland University of Technology before joining the Fijian Drua squad.

Interestingly, the hooker's first name, Zuriel, is derived from the Bible which means 'my rock' and his second name is connected to his Niue lineage.
