Mr Qiolevu took up the position of sous chef in Samoa where he spent six years in three different hotels, before returning to Toberua last June, to take over the reighns from Mr Lutumailagi.

Manueli Lagilagi Qiolevu is the Sous Chef at Toberua Island Resort. When he was younger, he learnt pastry skills from his late aunt Elesi Qiolevu. It inspired him to work towards fulfilling his dream job.
Mr Qiolevu started as a kitchen hand, and acquired skills through in-house training.
Executive chef, Malakai Lutumailagi was a key mentor and would guide Mr Qiolevu.
