More Fijians are expected to make use of the direct Adelaide – Nadi Fiji Airways flight says Kalesi Seru.

More Fijians are expected to make use of the direct Adelaide – Nadi Fiji Airways flight says Kalesi Seru.
Ms Seru, who has lived in Adelaide for the last 30 years, was among the 116 passengers on board the national airline which arrived on Monday night.
It was the first direct flight from Adelaide in three years.

The flight was just five hour 10-minutes.
“It is so exciting to be back,” she said.
“The fare is cheaper and even the flight today was fast.”
Nathan Shaw and his family of five who were part of the flight said, “It’s fantastic, and we’ve been coming to Fiji for about 30 years.”
“We love the direct flights because we cut out all the risk of the flight in between a 14- hour day, layover in Sydney for a couple of hours and then disembark.”
Mr Shaw said they were in the country for two weeks and would visit some church members and family friends.
Up Skill Yourself director, Vero Naiwaqa ,said it was great to be back home.
One of the key highlights in Fiji’s aviation industry was seeing the start of twice weekly flights from Sydney directly to Suva ,with their direct Auckland flights starting on July 4.
“The new routes make it even easier for travellers to see more of Fiji and we’re excited about that.
“Happy month of July,” a statement from Tourism Fiji said.
