More Participants At Car Show
The Fiji Motorsports Association will host its first car show in more than two years. The event, scheduled for later this month, will be called the Show and Shine Nationals. It will be hosted at Vodafone Arena car park on March 26.

The Fiji Motorsports Association will host its first car show in more than two years.
The event, scheduled for later this month, will be called the Show and Shine Nationals.
It will be hosted at Vodafone Arena car park on March 26.

While launching the event, association president, Raizal Haniff, said the show would feature 39 categories.
A jump up in participants Close to 140 cars are expected to participate, he said. Mr Haniff said the car show was open for everyone toparticipate.
“Previously, we only allowed the club members to attend the event,” he said.
“This time, we decided to open the platform to the public.”
He said the last car show was held at Namaka Public School, in Nadi.
“It was a successful event where there were 106 participants,” Mr Haniff said.
“We will try to make this one even better."
“We have been working hard for this event and the moment has finally come.”
A special one He said the event was going to bespecial, because the association would make it a family-oriented occasion.
“We want families to come in, and especially bring the younger generations,” Mr Haniff said.
“This is how children learn about cars, and grow their knowledge on the matter.”
Eight major and co-sponsors have contributed close to $30,000, he said.
The association was planning to organise another car show event in Nadi towards the end of the year, Mr Haniff said.
A word from the sponsor Meanwhile, Pacific Energy’s commercial/business manager, AmitMaharaj, said their business relationship with the association dated back more than seven years.
“Whether it is a drag race or a Show and Shine Nationals, we are always available, because our company believes in giving back to our customers,” Mr Maharaj said.
“We have to show our support for car enthusiasts,” he said.
Mr Maharaj said the event would be a great opportunity for families and young people to get a chance to be a winner.
“There are so many new and expensive cars coming in and at the same time,” he said.
“We have a lot of people who have kept their antique pieces and restore them."

Pacific Energy is a major sponsor for this event, giving $6000.
