The investment of the new Pacific Energy service stations serves as a reminder of future partnerships with landowners on business developments that are mutually beneficial.
Tui Nadi Ratu Vuniyani Navuniuci made the comments during the opening of the Pacific Energy Service Station in Nadi on Friday.
"This has only been made possible with the likes of investors such Babu Ganesh, Pacific Energy; and 24/7 service station who believed in our tikina (district), believed in our people, and supported our beloved Fiji to continuous economic growth," he said.
Ratu Vuniyani said the new setup would provide access to vehicles.
"It services our nearby communities by providing further access and employment opportunities to those less fortunate," he said.
Pacific Energy chief executive officer Stephane Cadel said the Pacific Energy service station, was a project that represented more than just an economic investment.
"Pacific Energy has always prided itself in its support of the community as we ensure that we maintain a community-focused investment in Fiji that is in line with our company slogan of "We Are Who You Are".
He said that the opening marked an expansion of their reach as it became the third Pacific Energy Service Station in Nadi.
"Please allow me to reassure you the community and the van.ua that Pacific Energy has set its sights on further expansion of our retail network here," Mr Cadel said.
"There are plans in action for further expansion of our retail network here as there are plans in action for further investment by the company in Nadi Fiji's Gateway to the World."
Property owner Babu Ganesh said he was proud of the achievement to see an investment close to $3 million come to fruition.
The 24/7 service station managing director Rajeev Prasad said he had big dreams to see his company grow.
"This is one of my dreams to run a servicestation in Nadi, which I am here today;" he said.
Meanwhile, the final draw for a three times-a-charm Nissan Navara will be drawn at the service station on Saturday.
