Consumers will fork out close to 20 cents on every litre of motor spirit, premix and diesel from today.
An analysis by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) suggested an increase in international movement, which would affect local prices.
Kerosene is the only fuel that dropped because of the new value added tax (VAT) law.

Fuel prices in Fiji are impacted by movements in the Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS), international freight rates and foreign exchange rates, according to FCCC.
The price of motor spirit and premix is based on same international refined price and international freight benchmarks.
Crude oil prices averaged slightly lower in June 2023 as selling pressure from hedge funds persisted.
Sentiments in the market remained dominated by hyped-up worries about the global economy, demand outlooks, and tightening monetary policies in key economies, hence it remained a drag on prices.
