New Mining Act By 2024

A growing number of investors are hoping to team up with current operators in the mineral resource sector, in what authorities have described as a shift in focus of the industry.

Mineral Resources Department director, Raymond Mohammed said more investors were interested in putting their money into active projects.

“The interest has changed,” he said.

“Rather than apply for new licences, these include seeking joint venture partnerships, or a total buyout, in something that’s already started because there is less risk."
