New Simulators for Aviation Academy

Fiji Airways has added new state-of-the-art simulators to the Fiji Airways Aviation Academy.
These include the CAE 7000XR full flight simulator for the Airbus A350 and ATR-72 aircraft, as well as two new CAE 500XR Fixed Training Devices (FTD) for the Airbus A330 and Boeing 737-Max 8.
These simulators, certified by EASA and CAAF, enhance the Academy's capability to provide world-class training for pilots and engineers.

"It highlights our dedication to providing the highest standards of training and safety for our pilots and engineers and reinforces our commitment to establishing Fiji as a regional leader in aviation excellence.

The Academy, inaugurated in December 2019, has supported local talent development while reducing the need for overseas training.
The total investment into the Academy, including these new devices, stands at approximately $160million.
This expansion allows the Academy to cater not only to Fiji Airways' internal training needs, but also offers capacity for third-party airlines, driving new revenue streams.
