He added it’s very important that everyone gets vaccinated, “as a nation only then can we move forward and open up our borders for tourism and further economic activities”.
Resumption of services.
The Suva Retailers Association with the assistance of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport (MCTTT), are now able to resume limited services via online and digital platforms.
The Association believes that in this effort to stimulate economic activity by Government, its members can begin to intensify their operations online while ensuring that all necessary protocols are met especially for delivery of products.
“However, all members are reminded to adhere to all necessary COVID-safe protocols enforced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Service and the Fiji Police Force such as wearing of masks, use of the careFIJI App, maintain social distancing and restricting any and all unnecessary movements.
“We are now provided with the opportunity to increase, and for some explore, online sales and shopping experiences for customers.
“Therefore, we encourage customers to visit their favourite stores online via Facebook, Instagram or websites to shop.
“Customers can still call the stores to find out more about the range of products available and make other payment arrangements such as MPAISA etc.
“The Association believes that we have a shared responsibility to ensure that our family, staff and customers are safe and this will only be possible with our collective efforts and by working together.
“Therefore, you can still shop and make purchases from your favourite store and you can do this safely online from home.
“If you need more information or clarity with regards to the COVID protocols or guidelines contact 158 or follow the Ministry of Health and Medical Services Facebook page.”
