Brisbane-based teen entrepreneur, Declan Sanday, is packing to return to Australia to resume his studies.

“But I’ll be back,” he said.

He resumes his high school education at St Joseph Nudgee College, after which he will puruse tertiary studies on banking and finance.

Mr Sanday, owner of Totoka Organics Fiji, a skincare company that was launched in Suva earlier this month, spent a gap year in Fiji to learn the ropes of business management.

He worked alongside his father, John Sanday, at the family kava export business Kava Korporesen in Suva.

The young Mr Sanday has inspired parents and peers alike, by establishing a name for himself in the business world, at such a young age.

Mr Sanday has exposure in modelling in Australia, and acting,, having featured as an extra in the survival drama film, Adrift, which was shot in part in Fiji.

He expects to see more of Fiji, on his next trip.

What is the one place you would take visitors to Fiji, and why?

I would take visitors to my home village, Burerua, Tailevu, to experience and diverse themselves into Fijian culture.

What is your secret backyard spot, and why?

Sigatoka sand dunes is my go to secret spot to hang around with family, while taking in what Fiji has to offer.

What is the one local destination on your bucket list, and why?

Qilaqila bay in Vanuabalavu.

Your favourite place in Fiji for a coffee/pie?

Hot Bread Kitchen never fails to deliver amazing chicken pie!

A classic, Bulaccino, to enjoy a nice brewed coffee.
