As more women join the business and banking sector through a loan scheme designed for female entrepreneurs, a leading local development bank says the programme is not a hand out.
Women with businesses that have been operating for at least three months can qualify for loans between $1000 and $5000.
With repayment plans that stretch anywhere from one to three years, and a 10 per cent Government subsidy on repayment, the women’s loan scheme has received interest for businesses in the areas of wholesale and small retail.
