Allegations of rape have surfaced at Miss Universe Fiji 2024, just weeks after a disgruntled runner-up challenged the decision that named Manshika Prasad as queen of the contest.

The pageant has been marred by resignations of judges, unpaid invoices, and disputes over the crown, casting a shadow over its return.

Amid ongoing disputes about who truly holds the Miss Universe Fiji 2024 title, police are investigating rape allegations linked to an after-party on the crowning night at Pacific Harbour.

The revelation adds to the controversy surrounding the event, which was hosted at The Pearl South Pacific Resort. Miss Universe Fiji has dismissed its judges and has yet to settle payments with service providers two weeks after the invitation-only event in Deuba.
