Businesses will have to beef up contin­gencies for the on­slaught of El Nino, which weather pundits warn could adversely im­pact the country for the second half of the year.

Like termite infestation, insur­ance companies say there is no cov­er for such weather phenomena. But they’ll insure against natural disasters like cyclones, and fire.

In any case, every business should have a plan B, said business con­sultant and economist, Nouzab Fa­reed.

“Businesses have mitigating measures that they each prepare for,” he said.
