A review of operations at Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji has recommended the completion of a job evalutation exercise.

A review of operations at Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji has recommended the completion of a job evalutation exercise.

The civil aviation authority needs to remunerate its staff accordingly in its effort to address retention of workers.

But it must complete a job evalua­tion exercise first.

These were part of recommenda­tions of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs to the Civil Avia­tion Authority of Fiji to address the challenges it faces.

Other recommendations made the Government were:

  • That CAFF vigorously pursue the establishment of the manage­ment database as part of its strate­gic aim to digitise its modus oper­andi to enhance its service delivery.
  • That CAFF continue to edu­cate and undertake awareness of mandatory occurrence reporting amongst aviation operators and ensure the implementation of a robust reporting culture and corre­sponding practices.
