Retention of skilled labour in a market tightened by com­petition from overseas em­ployers will be a policy challenge for Fiji in 2023 and 2024.

This was highlighted by ANZ In­ternational Economist, Dr Kishti Sen.

In his latest research he said Fiji has consistently been losing its skilled workforce to overseas mi­gration and temporary employ­ment opportunities.

“So it is unsurprising that re­spondents ranked ‘access to tal­ented and skilled labour’ as a key constraint to business growth,” he said.
