What is one place you would take every visitor to Fiji and why?

I would take my visitors to any place where I have family. This is because I feel a Fijian experience is anywhere where its people are, in our stories, our food and our customs.

What is your secret backyard favourite spot?

I am lucky enough to call the Great Sea Reef my backyard.

This is the third largest barrier reef in the world known here in Macuata as “Na Bainivualiku”.

Not many people know about the GSR, so it is my secret favourite spot to explore.

What is your favourite place in Fiji for a pie/coffee?

When I am on the mainland in Labasa, it would be Gopal’s restaurant for a hot masala tea and fresh suji ladoo.

What is one Fiji spot on the top of your bucket list?

My number one Fiji spot on my bucket list is The Ringgold Islands. These islands are north of Taveuni in an uninhabited area, so it is an ideal breeding ground for certain endangered sea and bird species in Fiji.
