Romantic Valentine’s In the Sky

Fiji Airways takes to the skies for its fourth special flight this weekend.

The airline has operated these special flights while commercial scheduled flying remains suspended.

This Sunday, Special Valentine’s Day Flight FJ679 takes to the skies with passengers who are choosing to spend February 14th flying around the country.

The National airline released a projected flight plan for FJ 679 on Twitter last week, showing a heart-shaped track covering a large part of the country.

Fiji Airways also did a special flight path for its Fiji 50 Special flight on October 10, as part of the national 50th independence day celebrations.

The flight plan is subject to weather, and the conditions on the day may disrupt the plan for a heart-shaped flight path.

The airline has also made its Premier Lounge available for Business Class customers and Tabua Club members on the flight.

Onboard:

Onboard, Fiji Airways has announced plans to offer a dining and inflight experience along the Valentine’s Day theme, with draws and other giveaway items for passengers.

It’s believed a number of personnel who are frontliners in the fight against COVID-19 from the Ministry of Health, the Fiji Police Force and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, will be on the flight. This will be a thank you from the airline to these frontliners, who are safeguarding the country from Covid-19 along with their colleagues.

Special flight FJ 679 will depart Nadi International Airport at 1.30pm, and will return to the airport at 4.30pm.

While it is being treated as a domestic flight, the airline has reminded customers that masks are required for access to the airport, as per Fiji Airports Limited requirements which are in place for the international terminal.
