Sakiusa Tubuna has joined the manage ment board of Fiji Crop and Livestock Council (FCLC).

"We are indeed fortunate to be able to call on Mr Tubuna for his experience and expertise," said FCLC Chief Executive Officer, Jiu Daunivalu.

"As the current Pacific sub-regional co-ordinator, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IF AAD), with previous management experience working with the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Tubuna brings a wealth of knowledge and valuable insights to his additional role as a board member of FCLC."

He joins an already strong team, which includes:

■ John Deo, president of Fiji Coconut Farmers Association;

■ Josua Raitilava, president of Fiji Ginger Farmers Association;

■ Filimoni Kilawekana, president of Fiji Dalo Farmers Association, and

■ Simon Cole, president of Fiji Pig Farmers Association.

FCLC said it was the apex platform for farmer advocacy, and comprised 16-member farmer organisations that represent approximately 60,000 farmers in the non-sugar agricultural sector.
