A relief for those who frequently use the Savusavu jetty.

Maintenance works on Savusavu RORO (roll on roll off) ramp is now complete and ready for

operation.

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore said the RORO Ramp had

been in a dilapidated condition due to wear and tear and they had looked at a number of options to complete the repair works.

“Works included replacement of the existing steel ramp structure with new concrete as a steel composite structure, construction of the new fender beam and installation of new fenders and bollards.”

Mr Moore said these upgrading works will significantly increase the life expectancy of the existing RORO Ramp Structure.
