Once the Seaqaqa and Nabouwalu township is created in Vanua Levu, each will have a council.
This was confirmed by Minister for Commerce, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya after carrying out site inspections in Nabouwalu, Bua and Seaqaqa, Macuata yesterday.

Budget Request
Mr Koya said the ministry had requested the Ministry of Economy for a budget for these two projects.
He said he cannot reveal the total cost of the projects and he would wait for the national budget announcement to be made in July.
“Both projects are our preference and we hope to begin soon in stages,” he said.
He said each project might take up to 24 months.
