On its official Facebook page, Nadi Bay Herbs shared: “Fresh Export Business in Jeopardy.

“This beautiful basil has a waiting market in New Zealand but no Fiji Airways Flight to take it there.

“We have been following the ‘talk’ that government and Fiji Airways will help keep exports going through cargo flights but each week goes by and no flights confirmed.

“Our staff are on reduced hours and our customer in New Zealand will only wait so long before they find another supplier.

“In the meantime - if there are any customers who want 1 tonne or top quality basil every week - give us a call,” the post said.

“We have had good feedback from customers on our coconut pesto,” she said.
