Inside the Economy Class, ....there’s no lack of comfort, as the carrier has opted for the standard 3 x 3 x 3 seating, which is made comfortable thanks to Airbus’ XWB frame. Again, minimal interior design sets the scene for the huge impressive screens that will flood the cabin with warm sunset and ocean imagery during boarding.

Let’s eagerly await the first Fiji Airways’ A350 XWB arriving to our skies soon.

It is understood that the first A350 XWB known as Island of Viti Levu will arrive most probably by late next month.

This is the first of its kind operated by an airline in the Pacific region.

The aircraft currently undergoing the final phase of its assembly process in Toulouse, along with the installation of engines followed by ground and flight tests.

Combining the latest aerodynamics, new Rolls-Royce Trent XWB generation engines and use of lightweight materials, the A350 XWB brings a 25 per cent advantage in fuel burn, operating costs and carbon dioxide emissions compared to previous generation similar-sized aircraft, meaning a significant reduction to the airline’s carbon footprint and fuel cost.

In an earlier statement, Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer Andre Viljoen said: “We are extremely pleased with this selection and proud of the confirmed arrangements with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Capital as the lessor, and Rolls-Royce as the engine supplier.

“Our teams are currently customising the aircraft to our specifications, including our world renowned livery and designs which proudly represent the people of Fiji.

“Ultimately, a luxury, world-class destination, like Fiji, deserves a luxury, world-class travel experience and that’s exactly what these aircraft will deliver.

For our guests, the holiday starts the moment they board the aircraft,” Mr Viljoen continued.

The latest renderings of Fiji Airways‘ A350 have showcased what their cabin and livery will look like – and quite frankly both are stunning. The airline, while opting for an incredibly minimalist design inside their latest airframe, has managed to encapsulate the feeling of a private jet with crisp lines and clean white and grey finishes.
