A tax shift is the answer to Fiji’s economic growth, a university has said.

A tax shift is the answer to Fiji’s economic growth, a university has said.

That answer may come from a collaboration between The University of Fiji and its Dutch partner, it was revealed.

The university said it was in talks with a Netherland authority, to formulate a tax shifting model.

Vice chancellor, Shaista Shameem, said the model would demonstrate that such a shift would go a long way to paying off larger sums of national debt in a more efficient manner.
