Fiji has no option but to consider a paradigm shift in taxation policy towards a circular economy, a leading academic has said.
In a submission to the Government- appointed Fiscal Review Committee, The University of Fiji also called for an overhaul of the taxation system to align fiscal policies with Sustainable Development Goals.
Vice Chancellor Shaista Shameem said the move would shift the economic paradigm from its linear position.
