Three Year Plan To Boost Tuna Sector

A three-year partnership between stakeholders of the tuna industry, is expected to be formalised as a result of an inaugural industry summit.

Investment opportunities in the sector may increase if Fiji gains more market access to address troubling policies at the national level.

Minister for Fisheries, Kalaveti Ravu, said the Fiji Tuna Symposium was a platform to discuss impediments to the growth and development of the domestic tuna fishing industry.

He called for an end to working in silos within the industry.
