The Tourism Act tops the agenda at an upcoming industry get together, with the aim of creating a prosperous visitor economy.

Fiji Tourism Convention will also deliberate on strategies and efficiences to navigate future growth.

Organised by Tourism Fiji, the event will be held at Sheraton Fiji Beach and Golf Resort, a comprehensive programme has been put together for September 26-27.

The convention will focus on the tourism regulatory environment, including reforms and standards, as an opportunity to create a dynamic legal framework that meets current challenges, Tourism Fiji said.

The convention will also discuss ways to stimulate socio-economic growth, create jobs, and support local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Standard tickets for the two day event are selling at $300, inclusive of meals and cocktail reception.
