Unpaid Bills, The Galley Closed

The Galley restaurant has been temporarily closed because of utility bills not being paid.
Located at the Royal Suva Yacht Club (RSYC) in Walu Bay, The Galley restaurant was operated by couple, Pauline Benson and Jarrel Kamea.
Royal Suva Yacht Club Commodore Spencer Ah Sam said it was unclear whether the restaurant would resume operations.

Mr Ah Sam says the couple who leased the space from the Yacht Club had been asked by the Yacht Club management to pay their electricity, water and rental bills. He said they asked the restaurant operators to pay their rent, but they couldn’t so they left.
“They would probably hand over the keys to the yacht office,” he said.
Recently, the couple opened a new venture, the Fiji Food Truck at the Suva Sailing Centre at Suva Point, which became popular among food lovers.
In a previous interview, the restaurant owners were planning to open their second food truck.
Attempts to get comments from the couple were unsuccessful.
