Vanuabalavu expo is back after five years. The three-day event organised by Kovaka Communications is scheduled for August 1 to 3.
It was last held after Tropical Cyclone Winston in 2016 in the Northern Lau Islands.
Event Producers Atelaite Cama and David Solomone said the event was another way of providing essential supplies to the Islands, especially when movements are limited by our local shipping providers.

Ms Cama said some of the small canteens on the islands have run out of sugar, flour, rice and fuel supply was also low.
“When we approach service providers, we tell them that ‘you are assisting us to get supplies to the islands’,” Ms Cama said.
The Expo is targeting 10 product suppliers and 20 service providers to participate in the event.
After its launch last week, Kovaka Communications have now confirmed registrations of six product suppliers and four service providers.
“Apart from the shops being restocked with goods, many services that are only accessible in Suva or urban towns will be made available to islanders,” Ms Cama said.
“The island community will also benefit financially from the Expo as participating organisations will be billeted in various homes in villages."
“The third day of the event is being dedicated to the children of Vanuabalavu in terms of a Career Expo where participants will present the route of their study and work experience to their jobs.
“There are also up to 50 delegates travelling to attend the bi-annual sitting of the Vanuabalavu Island Council where the various working groups outside of the island will make presentations. The Vanuabalavu Island Council sits on day three of the expo that is coinciding with the career expo for the higher level students.”
There is limited space for suppliers and vehicles. Ms Cama is calling on interested participants to register for a spot as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.
