Fiji Revenue and Customs Service acting chief executive officer, Fane Vave, is reported to have handed in her resignation.

A circular No.24 of 2020/2021, signed by Ms Vave, said she would be leaving the company on December 31, 2020.

“I would have finished off on December 1, 2020, but was requested to stay on by the board to allow them to sort out a placement arrangement,” the internal memo signed by Ms Vave said.

“I have always done my best to be transparent and accountable in my tenure with FRCS, and more recently as your acting chief executive officer for the past nine months.” FRCS board chairperson, Faye Yee, refused to comment when approached yesterday.
