Responding to improving wage rates for the country, Finance Minister Biman Prasad reiterated the previous government’s minimum wage rate of $4 to become effective from January.

“I have talked about wage rate of more than $4,” Mr Prasad said.

“We’re not going to be willy nilly, just because that was put by the previous government that suddenly we’re not going to honour the good policies, and there a few that we think they are good.

“We will keep them,” he said.
