Wakaya’s First Female GM

Monika Pal will be implement­ing new pro­grammes to preserve the ocean’s natural re­sources.

The new general manager for Wakaya Club and Spa intends to do this through a robust sustainability programme; including the property’s Giant Clam Farm located in the Marina Reserve, to a forthcoming coral plant restoration pro­ject slated for late 2023

Ms Pal started her 23-year ca­reer working at some of Fiji’s top resorts, such as Sonaisali Island Resort, Taunovo Bay Re­sort, and Mango Bay Resort.

She joined the Wakaya team in 2016 as a resort manager.
