Waqabaca Starts Her Business With $40

Salaseini Waqabaca’s deter­mination and hard work ena­bled her to start her own tai­loring business.

She graduated from Makoi Wom­en’s Vocational Training Centre in 2018 and started her business with only $40.

“I had a sewing machine at home, but I did not have the experience to operate the machine until I joined the women’s centre,” she said.

Ms Waqabaca lives in Vunivivi in Nausori where she operates her business from.
