World Bank Tips Tax Hire
The World Bank suggested Fiji restore pre-2016 VAT rates of 15 per cent with direct transfers, to offset the negative reform impact on low-income households.

Value Added Tax (VAT), other taxes such as customs duties (CD), corporate income taxes (CIT) and personal income tax, could do with a reform, the World Bank has said.
VAT had the biggest potential revenue impact, followed by CIT and CD, the bank said in its Fiji Public Expenditure Report 2023.
