Two men who allegedly impersonated Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu and Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad were remanded by the court today.
Avinesh Kumar, 40, a mechanic and part-time driver, and Sagar Sharma, 49, a taxi driver, appeared before Magistrate Vinti Prasad at the Nasinu Magistrate Court.
The pair are accused of allegedly using the top Government officials names and photo to solicit money from members of the public.
Both accused appealed for bail, arguing that they are the sole breadwinners for their respective families.
