Murder accused Apisai Madigibuli was denied bail for the fourth time today at the High Court in Suva.

Justice Dane Tuiqereqere has consistently rejected all bail applications filed by Madigibuli.

He is alleged to have murdered his wife, Kitiana Baravilala, who was six months pregnant, at an apartment complex on Robertson Road in Suva in April last year.

In his latest bail application, Madigibuli cited concerns about being infected with HIV from shared shaving blades, exposure to diseases, and inhaling gases from nearby factories.

However, Justice Tuiqereqere ruled that there was insufficient evidence to support these claims.

Madigibuli was further remanded, and the case has been adjourned to December 23.
